Mens JV-B soccer team continues season Lauren Larson-Long The JV-B boys soccer team stepped up its game and has recently improved its record to 4-4-3. The team played at Gahanna Lincoln High School Sept. 21, winning 3-0. Goals were scored by freshman Craig Schenck, freshman Nick Lehman, and freshman Joey Thien. The team lost at Pickerington 2-0 Sept. 25. Sept. 26, the Bears took on Thomas Worthington. The game started with a goal by freshman Will Muir. At halftime, the score stood at 1-0 in favor of the Bears. During the beginning of the second half, Worthington scored, making it 1-1. Near the end of the second half, the referee called a penalty on Thomas Worthington, setting up a penalty kick. Freshman Brady Yarletts scored, giving the Bears the 2-0 victory. "Our victory over Thomas Worthington was solid and well-deserved by everyone on our team," freshman goalie Matt Clark said. |
