According to Max Preps, a website that tracks the records of high school and collegiate sports teams throughout their seasons, the UAHS Girls Lacrosse team is ranked first in the state of Ohio and 20th in the United States for women’s high school lacrosse.

Despite a loss to St. Francis DeSales on March 21 at 7 p.m. and a tie with Newtrier on April 6 at 10:30 a.m., the team has won every other game this season, beating competitors such as Pickerington Central, Glenbrook South, Marysville, Pickerington North, Thomas Worthington, Hudson, Olentangy Liberty and New Albany.

The team has won nine state championships since 2002, including the last four consecutive years.

The Bears will play their next game against Hilliard Davidson Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at Hilliard Davidson High School.
