Started by Sandy Hook Promise, Start with Hello Week came to UAHS during Sept. 23-27. Ambassadors of Change, Culture and Diversity Club and Students Against Violence Everywhere helped to host the week. The goal is to promote inclusion and kindness in schools around the world, with just three simple steps: find someone who seems to be alone, reach out and help and simply, start with “hello”. The week started off with a name tag distribution, daily announcements every morning and lunch activities during fourth and fifth period. Students celebrated by playing icebreaker games through giant Jenga, handing out bracelets throughout lunch, and writing positive messages on sticky notes and sidewalks with chalk.
