The city of Upper Arlington is always changing. In the coming years there will be several new buildings being constructed in our city, bringing with them new commercial endeavours, residential options, and community spaces. Listed below are three future projects, as well as renderings of their future appearances.
The Community Center will be a 150,000 square foot facility and will include a pool, exercise areas, classrooms and multi-purpose spaces. Originally approved in 2021, the project should be completed in spring of 2025. It will be located within the Kingsdale Shopping Center, and construction has already begun.

The Golden Bear Redevelopment is a new mixed use building off of Riverside Road. It will take the place of the old Golden Bear Shopping Center and will include 22,000 feet of retail space, 24,000 feet of office space and 79 residential units. The building was proposed in 2019 and has an expected completion date in 2025.

The Arlington Gateway project is a new project on Lane Avenue. It will house apartments, shops and restaurants, and will make history as one of Upper Arlington’s tallest developments. Construction on the building, which has been in the works since 2016, began in 2021 and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
