Chili’s — sports bar, restaurant, and home to the Big Mouth Burger. Chili’s is a popular chain across the U.S and has its most convenient location at 3675 W Dublin Granville Rd and have hours of 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and stay open an hour later on weekends. When walking into Chili’s, there is an overwhelming delicious smell of food, a welcoming host, and an excitement of what is about to come. While waiting to be seated, the host/hostess keeps conversation with guests to keep their patience and there is interesting decor to look at of Hispanic culture meets a southern flare with a sporty feel as well.
Almost immediately after being seated, there is a waiter/waitress at the side of the table willing to take a drink order. They are attentive but not overbearing, kind, and try to make the best experience possible for the guests. However, there is a black monitor that sits on the edge of the table with options to play games, watch movies, or order food and drinks. The monitor seems like a genius idea until the food is served and the table becomes cramped.
The menu has a variety of foods, from burgers, to seafood, to fajitas and tacos, it seems as if Chili’s has it all. With so many options to choose from, an appetizer is a delicious way to start of the meal; however, the full order is almost as big as the entree so it is better to get the half order and save the appetite for the bigger part of the meal. When the main course arrives, it feels as if there is a fight for space because of the monitor as the amount of food on the table. Even with the minor inconvenience, the food is still hot and delicious. The meat is so tender that a knife is rarely needed, the fajitas have just the right amount of spice, and the potatoes are baked to perfection and the Big Mouth Burger definitely lives up to its name. There are several variations of the Big Mouth Burger, but the original is definitely the way to go, and it’s like heaven with each bite. The bun is warm and soft, the meat is moist, and the toppings are fresh and don’t take over the taste of the burger. To finalize the meal, a look over the dessert menu is necessary because it contains a variety of treats to satisfy any craving.
For many people, money is very tight, especially in today’s economy so a nice meal for a low cost is a relief. The Chili’s menu offers so much, for so little and while enjoying great food, it’s a great way to spend time with family or friends. Along with the great regular prices, Chili’s also has a two for $20 special to accommodate for any occasion.
At the end of the meal, the attentive waiter/waitress swings by the table to ensure that nothing else is needed, and leaves the option of paying on the monitor or receiving a check. Even though the monitor seems like a good idea, it takes a little bit longer to pay but the server comes to the table one last time to thank the guest and carries on to other customers. Chili’s leaves a want to experience everything they have to offer, and with great prices, why not?
