As a new school year commences, inevitably another wonderful year for Arlingtonian has already begun.
This year will mark a new beginning for Arlingtonian, with an almost entirely new staff to maintain the publications high standards. While most students enjoy their last few summer days in August, staff members of Arlingtonian have been working diligently on the first issue. Fortunately, I have been blessed with a brilliant staff that tirelessly cranked out an issue in a ridiculously short amount of time. While it is a daunting task to be in charge of the chaos that is Arlingtonian, I am proud of the staff and how it performed during our first week together, and I look forward to a fun year with them.
If you do not already know about Arlingtonian, let me fill you in on the details. We are a 100 percent student-run publication that serves as a forum for student expression. Arlingtonian is published nine times a year and takes on a variety of issues but with a focus on the students. Some of our goals for this year are to continue to print full color issues and to publish content with higher relevance to our audience. However, we may not be sure what you or your friends are interested in reading about. If there is something you feel we should address, feel free to visit Room 221 and tell us about it or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. One of our number one goals is to be the voice of the students, and more than anything, we strive to achieve that standard.
As always, we rely on our readers to help keep our publication afloat. Please support an Upper Arlington tradition and subscribe to Arlingtonian for the 2009-10 school year. A subscription form can be found on page 18 of this issue.
See you in the hallways,
Editor in Chief
